Tensile fabric structures can be used to satisfy a myriad of different briefs in the commercial and industrial world. Over the 20 or more years of experience that we have in fabric architecture Aura have been asked to provide canopies for car dealership entrances, structures to enhance office blocks, covered space for warehouse loading bays and many others.
Our commercial and industrial customers become enthused about the benefits of a tensile fabric structure as soon as they realise that we are offering a permanent structure rather than a temporary marquee or gazeebo which is probably what would immediately come to mind when imagining a solution using fabric and certainly is unlikely to be ‘up to the job’ long term.
As discussed elsewhere on our site fabric, when used in the right way, can be a highly effective replacement for a glass canopy or walkway but it can also prove a very competitive alternative to other conventional building methods.
Tensile fabric structures saving time and money
A tensile fabric structure is very lightweight which means that the requirement for foundations and groundworks could be significantly less than you might expect. It is also fast to build, or should we say fast to install. Our installation team will arrive at site with all of the components of the structure ready to assemble and, as an example, we would usually expect to complete 100m2 of covered space in one day. You are probably already arriving at the conclusion that these benefits of a tensile fabric structure will save you money and, if you choose one of our standard modular canopy styles (see the links on the right hand side of the page), you will take advantage of the years of experience and engineering that we have put in to make this range the most cost effective for our customers. Of course, if your brief is more specific we would be delighted to provide a bespoke design to meet your needs.
So with a vast range of fabrics and colours to choose from, eye catching shapes, and even lighting effects to add for extra drama, there is every reason that a fabric structure should be used to improve the usability and visual impact of a commercial building.
